WWL 123
Chemical Name: N-[[1,1'-Biphenyl]-3-ylmethyl)-N-methylcarbamic acid 4'-(aminocarbonyl)[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl ester
Purity: ≥98%
Biological Activity
WWL 123 is an α/β-hydrolase domain 6 (ABHD6) inhibitor (IC50 = 0.43 μM). Blocks PTZ-induced seizures in healthy mice and spontaneous seizures in R6/2 mice. Antiepileptic activity is independent of CB1 and CB2 receptors, but is GABAA receptor dependent. Brain penetrant.Other Information
There appears to be some confusion about the structure of WWL 123. Tocris sells N-[[1,1'-Biphenyl]-3-ylmethyl)-N-methylcarbamic acid 4'-(aminocarbonyl)[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl ester [1338574-83-6], which has been confirmed by the inventor, Prof B. Cravatt, as the correct compound. Other vendors sell the corresponding 3-yl regioisomer [1338575-41-9], which is the incorrect compound.Technical Data
