Scientific Data
Adiponectin/Acrp30 in Rat Liver. Adiponectin/Acrp30 was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of rat liver using Goat Anti-Rat Adiponectin/Acrp30 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3100) at 5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Adiponetin/Acrp30 in Rat Adipocytes. Adiponectin/Adipocyte complement-related protein of 30 kDa (ACRP-30) was detected in rat adipocytes using Goat Anti-Rat Adiponectin/Acrp30 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3100) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (yellow; Catalog # NL001) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Background: Adiponectin/Acrp30
Adiponectin, also known as Adipocyte complement-related protein of 30 kDa (Acrp30), is a secreted adipose tissue-specific protein. It is an anti-atherogenic, anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory hormone that plays important roles in the regulation of lipid and glucose metabolism. Rat Adiponectin/Acrp30 shares 91% and 83% amino acid sequence homology with mouse and human Adiponectin/Acrp30, respectively.
