Biological Activity

(R)-(+)-Etomoxir sodium salt is an inhibitor of carnitine palmitoyltransferase I (CPT1); inhibits β-oxidation in mitochondria. Shown to inhibit cardiolipin biosynthesis from exogenous fatty acid in H9c2 cells.
