NSC 74859
Chemical Name: 2-Hydroxy-4-[[2-[[(4-methylphenyl)sulfonyl]oxy]acetyl]amino]benzoic acid
Purity: ≥98%
Biological Activity
NSC 74859 selectively inhibits STAT3 DNA-binding activity in vitro (IC50 values are 86, 160, and >300 μM for STAT3-STAT3, STAT1-STAT3 and STAT1-STAT1 DNA-binding activity respectively). NSC 74859 blocks growth and induces apoptosis preferentially in tumor cells that contain persistently active STAT3 in vitro and arrests tumor growth in a murine xenograft model in vivo.Technical Data
