Background: ASGR1/ASGPR1
ASGR1 type II transmembrane glycoprotein belongs to the C-type lectin family. ASGR1 is expressed on hepatocytes and associates non-covalently with ASGR2 to form an oligomeric receptor complex. ASGR1/ASGR2 complexes mediate the internalization of circulating asialoglycoproteins.
