Biological Activity

DPN is a highly potent estrogen ERβ receptor agonist with a 70-fold selectivity over ERα (EC50 values are 0.85 and 66 nM respectively). Relaxes mesenteric arteries in vitro. Shown to regulate expression of GluR1, GluR2 and GluR3 in rat hippocampus.
