Biological Activity

Apocynin is an NADPH oxidase inhibitor. Demonstrates anti-inflammatory properties in a mouse model of carrageenan-induced pleurisy. Apocynin is bioactivated by intracellular peroxidases; acts as an antioxidant in endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells.
